Engines

Engine remanufacturing is the base that has grown our company.  We utilize a well-balanced and time-tested combination of planning, equipment, parts, technology and staff in our remanufacturing process.

All parts considered for reuse are put through a stringent cleaning and inspection phase to be sure the particular item is acceptable for remanufacturing.  Blocks, crankshafts, heads and other items are carefully inspected using a wet magnetic particle inspection method.  Only items that can be remanufactured to "like-new" performance standards are approved for further processing.  Minor imperfections such as bolt and pipe thread repairs are carefully performed to insure full functional performance of the parts.  Major components are then re-machined to stringent specifications using highly precise machine tools.  Compliance with OEM recommended specifications is assured through a substantial investment in measuring and quality control related tooling.

Our technical staff has an average of 17 years experience in the engine remanufacturing or related business.  This is an extremely dedicated group of people that take a great amount of pride in producing quality products.  This allows us to empower  anyone that works at Diesel Exchange to stop production if a quality problem is suspected.  Only after thorough investigation and if needed, correction, is production able to continue.

All complete engines are thoroughly tested on our state- of-the-art computerized engine dynamometer.  Only engines that pass pre-determined guidelines for horsepower, torque, oil pressure, oil temperature, turbo boost, air box pressure, water temperature and water pressure get released for service.

The above items represent a substantial commitment of money and resources that are necessary to consistently produce a quality engine that is an exceptional value.  Anything less than a commitment of this type makes consistently producing good engines sheer luck.  Proper commitment changes it from luck to skill.  We are one of few companies in the country who have made this commitment.

Our remanufactured engines are available as exchange items or out-right purchases.
